The Sublime and Spirited Voyage of Original Sin by Colette Moody

If you want to read a funny book, full of great scenes and crazy dialogues, don’t doubt on The
Sublime and Spirited Voyage of Original Sin by Colette Moody; the perfect lesbian romance
novel if you need a light reading after deeper books which exhausted you (in the good mode,
of course), as was my case with J.M. Redmann and her fantastic Micky Knight series.

The Sublime and Spirited Voyage of Original Sin wasn’t what I was looking for because I
thought it’d be a pirate book… Don’t get me wrong, it’s full of ugly pirates whom will rape and
kill without limits, but it’s not a violent story where one of the characters is abducted by the
other and required to do nasty things against her will, typical in pirate stories. Quite on the
contrary, is focused on the love story between Celia, a seamstress who thinks adventure and
excitement is out her reach, and Gayle, captain of a pirate ship basically per accident because
her father, the real captain, was hurt in battle. Add crazy characters to the potion and you’ll
get a fantastic adventure mixed with love.

As I said, you will find a lot of humor and fantastic scenes so if you’re looking for a great
moment, where you won’t read about distressing topics, difficult lives, bad memories or
emotional baggage, this one is perfect for you. It was for me!
